The Independence Secretariat seeks to organize national events to celebrate the 53rd anniversary of The Bahamas' independence. The Secretariat is mandated to organize, promote, coordinate, and host official events that stimulate the local economy, foster Bahamian pride, commemorate our rich history, and highlight the way forward. We aim to host activities and implement celebratory initiatives that connect Bahamians across our islands and worldwide, appealing to diverse interests and demographics.
